The Monmouth Memorial boys soccer team won its second straight middle school Capital Area League Championship earlier this fall finishing the season 11-0-1.
The Mustangs defeated Buckfield 7-2 in the championship game. Seventh-grader Bryce Fletcher had four goals in the victory.
Buckfield entered the game undefeated.
Monmouth outscored its opponents 74-11 during the season. Fletcher led the team with 26 goals on the season and had five assists. Jacob Harmon had 10 goals and four assists. Seventh-grader Zane Foyt chipped in nine goals and six assists.
In 2021, the Mustangs went 12-0-0 and defeated Hall-Dale in the championship game. The Mustangs outscored their opponents 66-8 during the season.
