FARMINGTON — Terion Moss finished with a double-double as University of Maine at Farmington rolled to an 84-61 victory over University of New England in a non-conference men’s basketball matchup Wednesday at Dearborn Gymnasium.
Moss scored 17 points and pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds from the guard position for the Beavers (1-0). Zachary Mickle paced UMF with 19 points and grabbed six boards of his own. Jack Kane filled the scorebook with nine points, three rebounds and four blocks.
Ray Evans led the Nor’easters (1-3) with 11 points and two rebounds. Ant Moynihan added 10 points and three rebounds.
BATES 77, ST. JOE’S 76: The Bobcats (1-1) held off a second-half charge by the Monks (1-2) to win a non-conference contest in Lewiston.
Steph Baxter led all scorers with 18 points for Bates, Jahmir Primer and Stephen Ward each scored 13 and Simon McCormick poured in 11. Ward also pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
Griffin Foley paced St. Joseph’s with 15 points. Edward Little grad Cam Yorke totaled four points, three rebounds and one block in 17 minutes off the bench.
