KATONAH, N.Y. — Corey Gavin scored on a 52-yard pass play and delivered another touchdown on a 55-yard dash, leading Hebron Academy to a 46-24 victory over Harvey School in an eight-man New England Prep School Athletic Conference football season finale Saturday.
Hebron finishes the season at 5-1. Hebron’s defense was affective in shutting down Harvey’s attack in the fourth quarter.
Alan Fuentes tossed a touchdown pass and ran for a score, Kendell Tucker rushed for two TDs and Caden Dufour had one rushing touchdown and scored three 2-point conversions.
Last week, the Lumberjacks won their final home game of the season, 60-8, over Pomfret School in Hebron.
In the win over Pomfret, Tucker led Hebron with three rushing touchdowns and a punt return for a TD. He also completed all three of his passing attempts.
Gage Johnson ran for 82 yards on eight carries and scored his first touchdown of the season. Chase Aldridge added 45 yards and a score on five carries, and Caden Dufour scored on three 2-point conversions while rushing for 25 yards on seven carries.
The defense dominated Pomfret, returning two interceptions for touchdowns, recovering two fumbles and recording two quarterback sacks. Senior caption Pierre-Olivier Gagnon led the defense with 10 tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery.
