I was so pleased to read former Republican legislator Pat Flood’s endorsement of Senate Democratic candidate Peggy Rotundo.

His words, based on his experience working with her in the Legislature, remind us how important it is to have legislators who can work “across the aisle,” especially in today’s political climate.

Peggy epitomizes the kind of bipartisan cooperation we need in Augusta.

As anyone who knows her will attest, Peggy is thoughtful, a good listener, a wise counsel and, in my opinion, has served the city of Lewiston as well as anyone in my 50 years here.

I hope people join me in casting their vote for Peggy Rotundo for state Senate.
