PARIS — The Oxford County Commission ratified the appointment Wednesday of Cammie Sprague as Deputy Emergency Management Agency Director.
Sprague resigned from her position as a dispatcher for the Oxford County Regional Communication Center, where she has worked for the past 16 years, before accepting the position.
Commissioners authorized the posting for a new dispatcher as well as a new victim-witness advocate in the District Attorney’s Office following the resignation of Catherine Durost, who worked in that post for the past five years.
The board approved a contract for snow plowing for the unorganized territories in Oxford County. The cost will be shared with the town of Waterford, which will utilize the same service.
Plans to review bids for a fire system at the Oxford County Airport were postponed until the next meeting in November.
Following a request for funding by the Mahoosuc Community Broadband Committee, commissioners agreed to provide a match of up to $60,120 from American Rescue Plan Act funds. The committee includes Albany Township, Bethel, Gilead, Greenwood, Milton Plantation, Newry and Woodstock.
