LIVERMORE FALLS — Fall into Books is back at Treat Memorial Library, 56 Main St.
Every time a book is checked out at the library, a reader can enter for a chance to win a book in December. The more books read, the more chances. The library has books for children, teens and adults, according to a news release from the library.
A consultant from the Career Center will be at the library from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 5. Appointments will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. The consultant will be able to assist with job searches and preparation of a resume and cover letters, and provide information on education and training related to one’s career interest.
The library’s Spooktacular is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. The event will include stories, games, prizes, crafts, and other family-friendly fall activities. Costumes are encouraged.
The library will be closed Tuesday, Oct. 11, in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day.
The Book Club will hold a meeting, both Zoom and in person, at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13. “Beautiful World, Where Are You” by Sally Rooney will be discussed as part of Best of Goodreads series. People should tell staff if they need a copy of the book up for discussion.
Check out the library’s latest favorites from its shelves with Bonkers for Books, the biweekly recommendation video on Facebook. Some favorites will be shared on Saturdays, Oct. 1 and 15.
Call the library with questions or for more information at 207-897-3631.
