BUCKFIELD — Chloee Bennett and Annabelle Thione each notched a goal and an assist in Buckfield’s 4-0 win over Oak Hill on Thursday in MVC girls soccer action.

Brittany Carrier and Cori Merrill also scored for the Bucks (4-1). Lailey Laughton and Kai Trenoweth provided assists while Kianna Finnegan made eight saves.

MacKenzie Vattaso stopped 21 shots for the Raiders (1-4).

MT. BLUE 9, LAWRENCE 0: KK Daggett knocked in four goals and assisted on another as the Cougars’ (5-0) rolled past the Bulldogs (1-4) in Farmington.

Emma Dunn scored two goals of her own, Vivian Cormier recorded a goal and an assist, and Alaya Smith and Nina Bogar also tallied goals. Meren Zeliger notched two assists, and Callahan Towle, Lilla Simpson and Natalee Orr each added one apiece.

Zoe Hutchins turned away 20 shots in goal for Lawrence, which was held without a shot on goal of its own.

BOYS SOCCER
MT. BLUE 3, LAWRENCE 0: Kaden Smith and Levi Bogar both recorded a goal and an assist in the Cougars’ (2-2-1) win over the Bulldogs (0-5) in Fairfield.

Nate Zeliger scored the other goal for Mt. Blue and Kyden Thomas also notched an assist.

Chase Ranger earned the shutout in net for the Cougars with five saves. Josh Harriet stopped 17 shots for Lawrence.

FIELD HOCKEY
MT. ARARAT 2, OXFORD HILLS 1: The Eagles (4-2) scored on a deflection off goalie Gabby Wright in the second overtime to beat the Vikings (4-1) in Paris.

Mt. Ararat’s Grace Keleher forced overtime, scoring with three minutes left in the fourth quarter.

Sierra Carson put Oxford Hills ahead earlier in the fourth.

Piper Cohen made five saves for Mt. Ararat. Wright stopped six shots.

LEAVITT 3, MORSE 2: Maddie Morin’s goal off a penalty corner lifted Leavitt (4-1) past Morse (1-6) in Bath.

Ally Langlois assisted on Morin’s game-winner, and added a goal of her own. Katie Sinois also scored for the Hornets. Delani Rector scored both of Morse’s goals.

Leavitt goalie Lily Chabot had five saves, while Morse counterpart Lydia Brown stopped 14 shots.
