Q&A
Define what “success” would look like if you are elected to serve your district.
I’m running to be an advocate for the people of this district and to ensure that their voices are heard, valued and respected in Augusta. That means our success will be measured by the people feeling understood, cared for, and well represented.
To achieve success, my job is to shift the conversation in Augusta away from petty partisanship and politics as usual toward a focus on the needs to the actual people we serve. I’m prepared to do that job.
Characterize your view on public access to governmental business.
Governmental business is the people’s business. Maine’s Freedom of Access Act is an invaluable tool for holding government entities accountable and ensuring government transparency. As an attorney I’ve litigated cases against government agencies utilizing this tool. As a legislator, I will work on a bi-partisan basis to sharpen it.
