To the Editor:
Could you help me return a lost toy to a young girl whom, I assume, must live somewhere in this area? As you know, last year Wilton held its first Blueberry Fest in two years; it was canceled the year before due to COVID-19. Among the dozens of booths that lined Main St was one for the Buttons for Babes Giving Circle. Four of us Donna, Celia, Rita, and I manned (or womaned) the booth during the day. Many people stopped by some with children, to look over our handcrafted button bracelets. Several made purchases, (thank you, folks).
One young girl who stopped by with her mother, I think, was playing with an action figure of a diver. It was dressed all in black and wore a pair of binoculars around its neck. Much later when we were putting things away and taking the awning down, I found the diver’s tiny set of binoculars in the grass in front of the booth.
If the little girl or her mother see this letter they may call or text me at 1-860-0155 to arrange for the toy’s return.
