A fire broke out Thursday in a materials shed at Lignetics of Maine, a sawdust processing facility in Strong. Lignetics Director of Manufacturing David Price said the fire broke out in the open shed around 1:30 p.m. and had been contained without any injuries as of late afternoon. Fire departments from Farmington, Phillips, New Portland and Kingfield joined the Strong Fire Department to help put out the fire.
