Studies are a key aspect of the early stages of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission relicensing for hydroelectric projects. In this case, the licensee of the Lewiston Falls project is Brookfield White Pine Hydro, a subsidiary of Brookfield Renewable U.S. According to David Heidrich of Brookfield Renewable U.S., once studies are completed, Brookfield White Pine Hydro will prepare study reports for review and public comment.
