AUBURN — Fontaine Family – The Real Estate Leader recently held its eighth annual Bid for Wishes auction to benefit Make-A-Wish Maine, with team members from the Auburn and Scarborough locations collecting 316 items and raising $26,486 — their best turnout yet.

Half the money raised this year went to Lewiston teenager Johnathan Morin and half to Make-A-Wish Maine.

Morin, a rising junior at Lewiston High School, is being treated for Ewing’s sarcoma, a rare cancerous tumor that grows in bones or the soft tissue around bones. Morin’s condition is considered inoperable due to its location.

The Fontaine Family Group’s Bid for Wishes Virtual Auction was created in the summer of 2014 to grant a wish for a seriously ill child. Fontaine Family has been involved with fundraising for Make-A-Wish Maine since 2009.
