Lewiston schools will consider restricting cellphone use during the school day, citing concern for learning and student well-being. The policy would prohibit elementary and middle school students from using their phones at all during the day, unless administrators determine it’s necessary for the student’s health, safety or for educational purposes. The policy would also likely include restrictions on when and where students can take photos and videos in school.
