AUBURN — Subaru of America and Evergreen Subaru of Auburn recently presented the YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston with $37,000 as part of the national carmaker’s Hometown Charity initiative and the local car dealer’s Share The Love event.

Subaru Share the Love is a national campaign that takes place from late November to early January. When customers buy a new car, Subaru of America donates $250 to the charity of the customer’s choice.

Four charities are national organizations, and the fifth, also called a Hometown Charity, is an organization chosen by the local Subaru dealership.

Evergreen Subaru doubled its per-car donation to increase the total donation to the YMCA.
