Fanfare Ste. Cecile was founded in 1896 by Brother Aymond, a member of the Dominican Order. It operated as a boy’s band between 1896 and 1948. This picture was believed to have been taken around 1900. Franco Fridays is a recurring feature offering a photo from the Franco-American Collection at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College in Lewiston.
