Androscoggin Historical Society members Lorraine and Bill Tyra catalog artifacts Thursday on the third floor of the Androscoggin County Building on Turner Street in Auburn. Staff and volunteers have been inventorying and packing up in preparation for moving to 93 Lisbon St. in Lewiston, hopefully by the end of summer. “The Man in the Falls” is one of several large paintings by renowned artist D.D. Coombs in the collection of the Androscoggin Historical Society. It was painted in 1895 a few years before the rock in the Androscoggin River was blasted.
