WOMEN’S LACROSSE
RACINE HONORED: Lewiston graduate Cece Racine has been chosen as the Little East Conference Goalie of the Week.

In the University of Southern Maine’s 7-3 win over the University of New England last week, Racine made 14 saves and finished with an .824 save percentage, which is the fifth-best single-game save percentage in USM history.

WOMEN’S SWIMMING
HOWE SETS RECORD: Lewiston’s Abbie Howe set a Husson school record at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championships last week in Kingston, Rhode Island.

Howe, a junior, swam the 200 backstroke in 2 minutes, 21.12 seconds on Friday, surpassing the school record set in 2010. She finished seventh and garnered her first All-New England honor.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
NESCAC RECOGNIZES GRAFF: Bates junior guard Meghan Graff has been named NESCAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for her performances while helping the Bobcats win their first conference title.

Graff, from South Portland, scored 20 points in each of Bates’ wins over the weekend, against Trinity in the semifinals and then against Amherst in the NESCAC tournament final.

Bates will face Roger Williams in the opening round of the NCAA Division III tournament Friday.

Graff enters that game with 1,119 career points, which ranks 12th in program history. She is the second consecutive Bates player to be named NESCAC Player of the Week, following last week’s honoree, Mia Roy.

MEN’S BASKETBALL
VERMONT 75, MAINE 56: Ryan Davis scored 16 points, and Ben Shungu, Aaron Deloney and Nick Fiorillo added 14 points apiece as the Catamounts (25-5) cruised past the Black Bears (6-23) at Orono.

Peter Filipovity scored nine points for Maine. Byron Ireland helped with seven points. Vukasin Masic added five points and 10 rebounds.
