RANGELEY — Rangeley Lakes Region Historical Society has hired Michelle Landry as executive director. She is due to start her duties March 7.
Landry has more than 20 years of experience with museums and cultural institutions, most notably as superintendent and CEO of Roosevelt Campobello International Park in New Brunswick, Canada, and deputy director at Castle in the Clouds in Moultonborough, New Hampshire. Landry has extensive experience curating and caring for historical, archival, natural history and art collections.
“The Historical Society has a strong foundation in preserving and sharing the Rangeley region’s fascinating heritage,” Landry said in a historical society news release. “I look forward to building on that and working with the board to further strengthen the organization’s impact and its connection with the community.”
“We are very excited and looking forward to working with Michelle. Her vast experience, knowledge and enthusiasm are a great fit for the organization,” Eugenie Francine, president of the historical society board, said.
