Snowmobilers will be on parade, sledders and sliders will get a chance to test their skills, adventure seekers can test a pair of snowshoes, and those who want to keep warm can toast their toes around a bonfire or sip hot chocolate after a turn on a pair of ice skates. The first Oxford Hills Winter Carnival will feature these events and more as local winter-sports businesses and volunteers have lined up a three-day weekend of winter sports, socials and fun. The event, which is being organized by members of the Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce, will begin on January 31, with ice skating, a bonfire and live bluegrass entertainment at Roebuck Farm in Paris. For teens there will be a dance at Art Moves Dance Studio in Norway at 7 p.m.
