NORTH HAVEN — Four players scored in double figures to pace Rangeley to its first win of the season, downing North Haven 78-30 in Class D South boys basketball Friday afternoon.

Malcolm Balch poured in a game-high 24 points for the Lakers (1-4), while Boden Washington scored 18, Anthony Whittier 17 and Chase Carmichael 12.

Bret Waterman led the Hawks (0-4) with 16 points.

DIRIGO 80, BOOTHBAY 61: The Cougars drained 11 shots from behind the 3-point line in an MVC victory over the Seahawks at Boothbay Harbor.

Nathaniel Wainwright made four of those 3s in the first half and finished with 18 points. Trenton Hutchinson scored a team-high 19 points for Dirigo and Charlie Houghton added 15.

Gryffin Kristan led all scorers with 30 for Boothbay, including 19 in the fourth quarter.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 61, POLAND 34: The Patriots pulled away in the second quarter, outscoring the Knights 20-8 to take a 32-18 lead into halftime in Gray.

Gray-New Gloucester’s Nate Hebert hit three 3-pointers and led all scorers with 17 points, while Anthony Prescott added 12.

Joey Levesque led Poland with 12 points.

LISBON 55, WINTHROP 42: The Greyhounds (8-2) dominated the second quarter en route to a big win over the Ramblers (7-2) in Winthrop.

Levi Tibbets scored 22 to lead all scorers and helped Lisbon make up a six-point deficit in the first quarter with a 14-point second quarter. The Greyhounds only allowed four points in the second quarter, as well. Mason Booker also scored 10 points for the Greyhounds.

Winthrop was paced by Braden Stubbert’s 14 points, while Logan Baird added 12 points and Andrew Foster tossed in 10.

LEWISTON 57, SCARBOROUGH 38: Yasuf Dakane scored nine of his 16 points in the third quarter to help the Blue Devils (8-3) pull away from the Red Storm (0-9) at Scarborough.

Dakane sparked a 21-10 run in the third that extended Lewiston’s 29-16 halftime lead to 50-26.

David Omasombo added 10 points for Lewiston, which had 10 players score. Reid Deniso scored 14 points and Blake Harris chipped in with 11 for Scarborough.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 40, ST. DOMINIC 38: Joaquim Bila had nine points and five steals for NYA, Eliott Oney put up nine points, seven rebounds and five assists, and Bryce Poulin added seven points and 10 rebounds as the Panthers (4-5) downed the Saints (7-2) in Yarmouth.

Logan Carey scored 12 points for St. Dom’s.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 53, OAK HILL 38: The Phoenix (9-0) pulled away from the Raiders (5-5) in the fourth quarter and secured the victory in Wales.

Jace Bessey led the way with 24 points for Spruce Mountain, which was a game-high output. Bessey scored nine of his points in the fourth quarter to help the Phoenix outscore Oak Hill 21-13 in the period.

Ian York tacked on 13 points for the Phoenix, with eight coming in the first quarter. Owen Bryant scored 10.

Jackson Arbour led Oak Hill with 17 points, while teammate Caden Thompson added seven.

MT. ABRAM 65, HALL-DALE 38: Adam Luce put up 14 points for the Roadrunners in their win over the Bulldogs in Farmingdale.

Luce’s output led a balanced attack that featured six players scoring six or more points. Payton Mitchell finished with 12 points, Wyatt Siemenski scored 10, Kaden Pillsbury had eight, Dylan Thorne contributed seven and Cam Grey added six.

Hall-Dale was led by TJ Wilson and Jackson Leach, who scored nine and eight points, respectively.

RANGELEY 72, NORTH HAVEN 33: Winnie LaRochelle scored 13 of her game-high 29 points in the first quarter and the visiting Lakers (4-1) roared past the Hawks (1-3) in North Haven.

Cheyanne Avery added 15 points for Rangeley, which led 27-2 after one quarter. Emily Eastlack filled the stat sheet with nine points, six steals and six assists.

Isabelle Haskell led North Haven with 11 points and Layla Sparhawk pitched in with eight.

WINDHAM 54, EDWARD LITTLE 24: Sarah Talon scored nine of her 19 points to lead a 15-8 third quarter as the Eagles (8-3) pulled away from the Red Eddies (2-9) at Windham.

Carly Morey chipped in with 10 points. Stella Jarvais added eight.

Edward Little’s Rachel Penny made three 3-pointers for nine points.

TELSTAR 30, MT. ABRAM 28: A late-game comeback earned the Rebels their first win of the season in a victory over the Roadrunners in Salem.

Mt. Abram’s Abi Wilcox hit a 3-pointer to tie the game with 11 seconds remaining, 28-28. Telstar’s Morgan Zetts, who finished with a game-high 16 points, including six in the fourth quarter, was then fouled and hit two free throws to win the game for the Rebels.

Wilcox finished with 11 points to lead Mt. Abram.
