FREEPORT — Winnie LaRochelle paced the Rangeley girls basketball team to a 64-39 win over Pine Tree Academy on Friday.
LaRochelle scored 23 points for the Lakers (2-1). Isa Whittler scored 16 points and Cheyanne Avery chipped in 12 for Rangeley. LaRochelle and Emily Eastlack (nine points) each had 10 assists.
Paige Tyson led the Breakers (2-4) with 27 points.
POLAND 43, WAYNFLETE 20: Gabby Bolduc scored 11 points to pace the Knights (2-5) past the Flyers (1-7) in Portland.
Lucy Hart scored a game-high 15 points for Waynflete.
KENTS HILL 49, TELSTAR 28: Logan McDonald scored 16 points to lead the Huskies to the win over the Rebels in Kents Hill.
Rose Jenkins added 10 points for Kents Hill (2-0).
Telstar’s (0-6) Morgan Zetts led all scorers with 18 points.
WINSLOW 57, LEAVITT 52: Harly Pomerleau scored 15 points to lead the Black Raiders to victory in Turner.
Leah Knight scored 14 points and Maddison Lower added 12 points for Winslow (3-7).
Jazzlyn Clark led the Hornets (1-8) with 14 points, while Delaney Ennis added 12.
BOYS BASKETBALL
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 52, WELLS 43: Nate Hebert led the Patriots (7-3) with 14 points in their win over the Warriors (3-6) in Gray.
Josh Michaud and Jay Hawkes each added 11 points for Gray-New Gloucester.
Wells’ Devin Brown led all scorers with 17 points.
PINE TREE 51, RANGELEY 37: Silas Yeaton lead the Breakers (1-6) with 18 points in their win over the Lakers (0-3) in Freeport.
Alden Thacker added 14 points and Ben Ndamukunda had 11 for Pine Tree Academy.
Malcolm Black finished with nine points for Rangeley.
