This sounds like a great series: Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District is partnering with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension to offer a series of workshops based around the theme of homesteading.

The workshops will be offered monthly between February and June and will cover topics such as maple sugaring, pruning fruit trees, natural landscaping techniques, and more. The first workshop will be held virtually on Feb. 24, and will be a maple sugaring workshop. For more information, email OxfordCountySWCD@gmail.com.

The Bethel Seniors Club has suspended its monthly meetings in January and February. The next meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 9. Folks will be notified as the date gets closer. If you have any questions, please call Donna Douglass at 824-2591.
The Bethel Citizen has a new office manager!  A local face is behind the front desk. Tracy Walker is working Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a lunch break from noon to 12:30 p.m. The Bethel Citizen office offers different services for the public. Tracy can assist you with any printing services, ads, photocopies, obituaries, and faxing of printed items. There is also a computer set up so you can print off any items sent to your email address that you may need a hard copy for your personal use.  Wonderful to have a friendly and competent local as our new office manager at the Bethel Citizen Office.
I will close with this quote by a Native American named Tecumseh. When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the morning light, for your life, and the power that you possess.  If you see no reason to give thanks, that is your business.
