RUMFORD — Autumn Freeman tossed in a game-high 18 points and Emily Richard delivered another 10 as Mountain Valley sidestepped Mt. Abram 58-36 in a girls basketball game on Friday.

The Falcons (5-1) jumped out to 33-11 at halftime and glided the rest of the way for the victory.

Mt. Abram’s (0-4) Abi Whitney scored 16 points.

MADISON 61, BUCKFIELD 25: Mackenzie Robbins scored 19 points and Raegan Cowan dropped in 12 in the Bulldogs’ (3-1) win over the Bucks in Madison.

Alyssa Litchfield scored a team-high seven points for Buckfield (0-5).

HALL-DALE 60, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 55: Hayden Madore scored a team-high 17 points Avery Baker lent a hand with 11 points in the undefeated Bulldogs’ (6-0) win over the Phoenix in Farmingdale.

Spruce Mountain’s (5-1) Olivia Mastine scored a game-high 20 points and Jaydn Pingree had 14.

BOYS BASKETBALL
MT. ABRAM 53, MADISON 35: The Roadrunners (2-5) used a strong third quarter to defeat the Bulldogs (4-4) in Strong.

Mt. Abram outscored Madison 19-8 in the third quarter to break the tie over the first two quarters. Mt. Abram’s Payton Mitchell scored 15 to lead all scorers and Kaden Pillsbury added 14 in the win.

Madison’s Callan Franzose scored 11 to pace the Bulldogs. Vernon Worthen III added nine.
