TURNER — Brett Coburn threw in a game-high 17 points as Leavitt (3-1) shook off Fryeburg Academy (1-3) with with 48-41 victory in a boys basketball game on Tuesday night.
The Hornets led 26-21 at halftime. Fryeburg’s Gunnar Saunders scored 15 points and dropped in three 3-pointers.
OLD ORCHARD BEACH 52, ST. DOMINIC 35: Landen Johnson scored 19 points, including three 3-pointers, as the Seagulls (3-1) downed the Saints (3-1) at Old Orchard Beach.
Rick Delisle also made three 3-pointers for Old Orchard Beach and finished with 15 points.
Jonathan Tangilamesu had 11 points for St. Dominic. Noah Cyr added 10.
KENNEBUNK 73, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 50: Keegan Andrews finished with 22 points, including six 3-pointers, to lead the Rams (3-1) over the Patriots (1-3) in Gray.
Jacob Thompson added 10 points and Landon Schwartzman had eight for Kennebunk.
Aidan Hebert led Gray-New Gloucester with 10 points.
MT. BLUE 72, GARDINER 49: Evans Sterling scored a game-high 19 points and teammate Briggs Chandler helped out with 17 as the Cougars (2-2) overpowered the Tigers (0-4) in Farmington.
Charles Stevens and Jaden Meader each scored 11 points and Zach Poisson dropped in 12 for Mt. Blue.
Gardiner’s Braden Dorogi scored 13 points and Colby Moody had 12 for Gardiner.
POLAND 82, MARANACOOK 65: Hunter Gibson hit five 3-pointers and finished with 26 points as the Knights (3-1) topped the Panthers (0-1) in Poland.
John Patenaude added 16 points, while Hayden Christener had 12 and Joseph Levesque 11 for Poland.
Tyler Hreben scored 16 points and Braden St. Pierre 10 for Maranacook.
LEWISTON 66, WINDHAM 40: David Omasombo led the Blue Devils (2-2) with 19 points in their win over the Eagles (1-3) in Windham.
Yusuf Dakane added 15 points for Lewiston.
Creighty Dickson put up 10 points to lead Windham.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
OXFORD HILLS 52, DEERING 33: Sierra Carson led all scorers with 16 points, Ella Pelletier added 11 and Brooklyn Alexander had 10 to lift the Vikings (4-0) over the Rams (0-4) in Portland.
Maya Gayle hit three 3-pointers on her way to 14 points for Deering. Shay Rosenthal turned in 10 points.
GARDINER 48, MT. BLUE 25: Lizzy Gruber had 15 points and 12 rebounds to pace the Tigers to the KVAC win over the Cougars in Gardiner.
Megan Gallagher added 11 points for Gardiner (3-1), while Megan Carver chipped in eight.
Mt. Blue (0-4) was led by Eva Stevens’ 14 points.
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 48, KENNEBUNK 32: Isabelle Morelli scored 15 points as the Patriots (3-1) beat the Rams (0-4) in Kennebunk.
Ali Portas added nine points for Gray-New Gloucester.
Ruby Sliwkowski led Kennebunk with nine points.
FRYEBURG 40, LEAVITT 32: Sydney Shaw had 14 points in the first half and finished with 20 as the Raiders (2-2) defeated the Hornets (1-3) at Fryeburg.
Emily Walker had 16 points, including three 3-pointers, for Fryeburg Academy.
Kayla Smith had eight points for Leavitt.
WINDHAM 47, LEWISTON 38: Sarah Talon scored 36 as the Eagles (2-2) took down the Blue Devils (2-2) in Lewiston.
Talon scored 10 points in both the second and third quarters to help Windham earn its second win of the season. Kayla Flanders scored six for the Eagles.
Lewiston’s Koral Morin continued to shoot well from the outside, hitting four 3-pointers as part of a 16-point performance. Natalie Beaudoin added 13 for the Blue Devils.
SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 44, MONMOUTH 27: Olivia Mastine hit three 3-pointers and put up a game-high 18 points for the Phoenix in an MVC win over the Mustangs in Monmouth.
Summer Chretien added 10 points for Spruce Mountain (3-0), while Jaydn Pingree contributed eight.
Katie Laliberte and Holly Hunt scored 11 and eight points, respectively, for Monmouth (1-2).
OLD ORCHARD BEACH 47, ST. DOMINIC 21: The Seagulls (4-0) grabbed a 12-7 lead after one quarter and extended it to 28-9 at halftime then cruised to a win over the Saints (2-2) at Old Orchard Beach.
Ganelle Ferguson scored 13 points for Old Orchard Beach, while Elise MacNair added 10.
Jessie Zimmerman had eight points for St. Dominic.
