YARMOUTHSophia Hartley scored a pair of goals as Edward Little/Leavitt/Poland (3-1-1) overpowered Yarmouth/Freeport (2-3) with a 5-2 victory in a girls hockey game on Monday.

The Eddies built a 5-0 lead by the second period. Gianna Castagna, Eve Martineau and Caroline Audette each scored for the Red Hornets, with assists going to Kylee Spugnardi and Alyssa Prosser.

Rosie Panenka and Sadie Carnes each scored for the Clippers in the third period. Drea Rydout and Katy Tracy earned the assists.

MADISON 72, TELSTAR 27: Callan Franse piled up 25 points and dropped in seven 3-pointers to lead Madison 2-2 past the Rebels in Bethel.

Brayden Stevens scored 10 points for Telstar (0-5).

OXFORD HILLS 66, DEERING 53: Colby Dillingham scored a team-high 21 points and Cole Pulkinnen and Teigan Pelletier added 19 and 18, respectively, as the Vikings rolled over the Rams in Paris.

Oxford Hills built a 36-21 lead and kept its distance from Deering in the second half. Pulkinnen knocked down three 3-pointers for the evening.

Deering’s Wani Remijo poured in 17 points and also made good on three 3-pointers.

MONMOUTH 73, WISCASSET 15: Sammy Calder had the hot hand and scored a game-high 23 points, leading the undefeated Mustangs (5-0) past the Wolverines (0-4) in Monmouth.

Sammy Colder, Alex Orne and Hayden Fletcher each scored nine points for Monmouth.

Nate Schutie had eight points for Wiscasset.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 56, LISBON 55, OT: Owen Bryant finally settled this hard-fought Class B South matchup, scoring a layup off an inbound play at the buzzer to give the Phoenix (3-0) a victory over the Greyhounds (2-1) in Jay.

The teams entered the fourth quarter tied 36-36, but Lisbon pulled away and led by 10 points with about two minutes left. Spruce Mountain, using only a six-player rotation for the entire game, battled back and forced overtime with a shot by Jayden Perreault (five points) at the buzzer.

Bryant led all scorers with 18 points, 12 of those coming in the fourth quarter and overtime. Jace Bessey added 14 and Ian York 10 for Spruce Mountain.

Lisbon was led by Levi Tibbets’ 17 points. Mason Booker added 12 and Charlie Doyle scored 10.
