SALEM — Charlie Pye and Cam Walters each scored a goal to help give top-seeded Mt. Abram (13-0-2) a 2-0 victory over eighth-ranked Maranacook (6-8-2) in a Class C South boys soccer quarterfinal on Wednesday.
Kaden Pillsbury and Wyatt Sieminski each earned assists. The Roadrunners took a 2-0 lead at halftime and made it stand up in the second half.
Mt. Abram goalie Ian Allen made six saves. Marancook’s Tim St Pierre made 10. Mt. Abram will face fourth-ranked-Monmouth Academy (12-2-2) on Friday.
NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 2, BUCKFIELD 1: Chas Rohde scored twice in the second half to send the No. 3 Panthers (9-4-2) past the No. 6 Bucks in a Class D South quarterfinal in Yarmouth.
Rohde broke a scoreless tie with his first goal in the 46th minute, then doubled NYA’s lead in the 62nd minute. Michael Belleau made two saves for the Panthers.
Hunter Driscoll got Buckfield on the board with two minutes to play, finishing off Terry Valles’ initial shot off the post. Gavin Charest stopped 18 shots in goal for the Bucks.
BREWER 3, EDWARD LITTLE 2, 2OT: Colby Smith scored on a header off a corner kick in double overtime to push the No. 3 Witches (9-4-2) past the No. 3 Red Eddies (9-6-1) in a Class A North quarterfinal in Brewer.
Mohamed Adow scored both Edward Little goals in the first half, giving the Red Eddies a lead each time. Barden Carr and Cade McKenney scored for Brewer in the first half.
LISBON 2, TRAIP ACADEMY 1, OT: Danny Levesque scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lift the No. 3 Greyhounds (13-2) to a victory over the No. 6 Rangers (8-8) in a Class C boys soccer quarterfinal in Lisbon.
Hunter Brissette collected an assist on Levesque’s goal. Ethan Brown scored six minutes into the game for Lisbon. Pedro Farias-Garica scored for Traip.
Lisbon goalie Sean Moore made eight saves, while Traip’s Jack Downs made seven.
