AUBURN — The Maine Franco-American Genealogical Society fall meeting is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Auburn Public Library, at the corner of Court and Spring streets.
Lisa Blue, featured speaker, will give a talk on “Genealogy Research Made Easy — What’s OCR? What’s World CAT?”
At 11 a.m. she will present information about the latest technology available for researching Franco-American ancestors, followed by a question-and-answer session.
Blue has 25 years of IT support, data analysis, and software training experience. She creates and maintains the society’s databases and helps the staff with technical support needs.
This free event will include a brief society business meeting and light refreshments. The public is welcome to attend both the meeting and Blue’s presentation.
