Steve Scott picks Honeycrisp apples Thursday at Ricker Hill Orchards in Turner. Scott travels from Jamaica to Maine each fall to harvest the crop. Andy Ricker said the harvest has been average this year. “The apples loved the rain in July and August, but they were stressed out in June,” he said. “Honeycrisp is probably the most popular apple in the U.S. market,” he said.
