Miss Carmela J. Appleby of Lisbon Falls will be the featured speaker at a meeting of Mary Dillingham Chapter. Daughters of the American Revolution, Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Alton J. McFadden. 96 Fern St.. Auburn. Miss Appleby has chosen the title of her topic, “Wrapped in Newspaper.” The talk will be on the collecting of antiques.
25 Years Ago: 1996
Christina R. Damon of Livermore is participating in the Bates College Junior Year Abroad program. Damon, a psychology major, is currently studying in Dublin, Ireland. Students at Bates have the option during their junior year of taking a semester or full year in a foreign country. Both programs provide them opportunities to study and conduct research at their choice of hundreds of colleges and universities throughout the world. Damon, the daughter of Dennis and Claire Damon, 108 Cross Road, is a 1994 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. She is a dean’s list student and a member of the women’s rugby team.
