AUBURN — The Lost Valley Ski Patrol plans to hold a fundraiser from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, at Lost Valley, 200 Lost Valley Road.
There will be a dunk tank from 4 to 7 p.m., with notable dunkers including Auburn Mayor Jason Levesque, scheduled from 4 to 4:30 p.m. The event also will include 30 items up for raffle, a 50/50 and a silent auction for bigger ticket items like a Lost Valley Season Pass and whitewater rafting trip.
Musicians Ernie and Scott Gagne will perform from 6 to 9 p.m. and Lost Valley’s brewpub plans to donate 20% off all food sale that night to the organization.
The Lost Valley patrol is a division of the nonprofit National Ski Patrol, comprised of mostly volunteer patrollers.
Each year the Lost Valley patrol responds to on-hill incidents and is consistently patrolling the mountain to keep people safe during outdoor activities. In addition to its on-hill duties, the patrol also hosts several training and re-certification events for individual patrollers and candidates in the region.
Lost Valley hosts various nonprofits for dining fundraiser nights at its brewpub nearly every Wednesday night in the spring, summer and fall, which has generated more than $30,000 in funds for community organizations since 2019.
