A Portland artist working with the downtown association has begun work on a project to add the mural to the side of the historic building on Main Street.
Jared Goulette, a well-known artist from Portland, begins the three-week process of painting a mural on the side of 183 Main Street on Friday morning in Lewiston. Getting permission to do it on the historic building was a difficult process for the Downtown Lewiston Association, which spearheaded the effort.
