Once again, the Norway Historical Society and the First Universalist Church of Norway will collaborate to produce Rustfield Cemetery tours featuring portrayals of prominent Rustfield Cemetery residents.
Rustfield Cemetery is on Greenleaf Avenue in Norway.
Hour-long tours are scheduled on Friday, July 30, and on Saturday July 31 at 4:30 and 6 p.m. Rain dates will be the following Friday and Saturday, Aug., 6 and 7. Tickets are on sale at The Tribune, 430 Main St. in Norway.
Tickets cost $10 per person; cash or checks only. Each tour is limited to 20 people.
“After our cemetery tours sold out last Halloween, we received many requests for a repeat. We are delighted to be able to bring this slice of Norway history back for a reprise,” said Joanne MacDonald, chair of the First Universalist Church board, in a news release.
“If you, sensibly, felt it was too cold for a cemetery tour last fall, or you’d already moved on to warmer climes, this is your chance to experience our tours in much more comfortable temperatures,” added Ann Siekman, president of the Norway Historical Society.
Proceeds from the tours will benefit the Norway Historical Society and the First Universalist Church of Norway.
