The first Lewiston-Auburn Riverfest will take place Friday through Sunday.

The festival will include a regatta Saturday morning, a river race Sunday morning, and a riverside festival with a beer garden, food trucks, entertainment and more on both afternoons. The schedule is:

FRIDAY:

5-7 p.m.: Androscoggin Land Trust Paddle After Hours, launching on the Auburn side of the river behind Gritty’s Pub in Auburn.

SATURDAY:

7 a.m. to noon: Riverfest Regatta, Simard-Payne Memorial Park, Lewiston

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Museum L-A’s “Our Working Waterway” river exhibit open to the public; the museum will waive its usual $5 admission fee. River expert Peter Rubins and museum Executive Director Audrey Thomson will speak about river reclassification efforts and the exhibit.

Noon to 4 p.m.: Try a Boat, Simard-Payne Memorial Park, Lewiston

Noon to 4 p.m.: Bands, beer garden, food truck, vendors, performances, and more; Simard-Payne Memorial Park, Lewiston

4 to 7 p.m.: Riverfest happy hour specials at participating local restaurants and pubs

6-10 p.m.: Twilight movie by Lewiston Fun/Films, Simard-Payne Memorial Park, Lewiston

SUNDAY:

7:30 a.m. to noon: LA River Races, Simard-Payne Memorial Park, Lewiston, and Auburn boat ramp

Noon to 4 p.m.: Try a Boat, Simard-Payne Memorial Park, Lewiston

Noon to 4 p.m.: Music, beer, food trucks, Festival Plaza, Auburn
