GRAY — Madi Pelletier’s walk-off two-run single lifted Gray-New Gloucester to a 12-11 softball victory over Greely on Thursday.
Pelletier finished with three hits and three RBIs. She also pitched a seven-hitter and struck out seven Rangers (4-8) batters.
Morgan Curtis contributed four hits and five RBIs for the Patriots (11-4). Maisie Lerette added two hits, four runs scored and two stolen bases.
OXFORD HILLS 4, BANGOR 3: Miah Gallon had two hits to pace the Vikings (9-2) to victory over the Rams (4-7) in Bangor.
Kiara McLeod picked up the victory for Oxford Hills, striking out six and allowing five hits.
Cassidy Ireland hit a homer for Bangor in the second inning, and Jeanna Smith had a RBI double. Rams pitcher Lane Barron took the loss but struck out four and allowed six hits.
BASEBALL
GREELY 12, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Brady Nolin had four hits, including a home run, to lead the Rangers (9-3) over the Patriots (2-13) at Gray.
Max Cloutier added three hits for Greely, which scored five runs in the first inning. Gray-New Gloucester was limited to three singles.
