TURNER — The Maine Department of Transportation will install new traffic count sensors on Route 4 next week. The work will involve lane closures south of Harlow Hill Road.
Work is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Monday and require closure of the southbound lane. Work requiring the closure of the northbound lane will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
The traffic count sensors allow Maine Department of Transportation to accurately classify and count the number of vehicles using the highway throughout the year.
Like all outside construction work, this schedule is weather-dependent, according to the department.
