SOUTH CHINA — McKenzie Berry scored three goals and Eryn Parlin had two goals and four assists to lead Mt. Blue to a 9-8 girls lacrosse victory over host Erskine Academy on Wednesday.
Farrah Ballou also scored two goals for Mt. Blue.
Mia Winningham had 14 saves for the Cougars while Annaliese Patterson had nine for Erskine.
Sarah Praul scored seven goals and Grace Hutchins also scored to lead the Eagles.
FREEPORT 19, ST. DOMINIC 7: Meredith Feller’s four goals and one assist helped the Falcons (5-0) beat the Saints (2-4) at Freeport.
Hannah Groves put up a hat trick and two assists, with Ellie Whittier scoring three goals and adding one assist. Goalie Piper Williams had seven saves.
Taryn Cloutier and Emily Wallingford scored two goals apiece for St. Dom’s.
DEERING 12, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/POLAND 8: Morgan Shibles scored seven goals as the Rams (1-1) powered past the 26ers (1-4) at Gray.
Shay Rosenthal had three goals and Grayson Soldati added two for Deering, while Ruby Pfeifle made three saves.
Ellie Steele led Gray-New Gloucester/Poland with three goals. Cady Kluck had two, and Andrea Smith, Tiffany Ha and Ashley Wilson also scored. Mackenzie Baston stopped 10 shots for the 26ers.
BOYS LACROSSE
EDWARD LITTLE 11, CONY 6: Caleb Davis scored four goals and had two assists to lift the Red Eddies in Augusta.
Wesley Clements (assist) and Caleb Strout added three goals each, while Tyler Smith had the other tally and an assist. Daulton David made 13 saves.
Casey Mills’ three goals and two assists led the Rams (2-5), while Isaac Beloff scored a pair of goals, Nick Geneseo had one, and Elijah Beland made 17 saves.
NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 15, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 2: Braden Warde had four goals and three assists as the Panthers (5-2) beat the Patriots (3-3) at Yarmouth.
Mason Bull, Chris Hamblett, Luke Lathrop and Chas Rhode all scored twice for NYA, with Hamblett adding two assists. Caleb Waterman had a goal and six assists.
Miles Post and Nick Stanley scored for the Patriots.
SOFTBALL
MONMOUTH 3, OAK HILL 2: Casey Kaplan had three hits to help lead the Mustangs to a win over the Raiders in Wales.
Brooklyn Federico earned the win in the circle for Monmouth (7-1), striking out seven batters and allowing just four hits.
Oak Hill falls to 2-3.
MOUNTAIN VALLEY 9, CARRABEC 4: Gabbie Gallant had a pair of hits, including a triple, in the Falcons’ win over the Cobras in Rumford.
Brooke Bennett had three hits for Mountain Valley (2-4), while Ali Legere and and Jaden Boulanger each had two hits. The Falcons scored six times in the fifth. Legere struck out five to pick up the win.
Carrabec (0-3) scored two runs in the top of the third.
OXFORD HILLS 13, CONY 1: Haileigh Sawyer had a home run, a double and a single to lead the Vikings to the win.
Trinity Bedard added two doubles and a single for Oxford Hills (6-1) while Bella Devivo had a double and two singles and Liz Dieterich had two doubles.
Vikings pitchers Kiara McLeod (five innings) and Maddy Miller (two innings) combined to hold Cony (1-6) to one hit.
RICHMOND 12, DIRIGO 11: Izzy Stewart had two doubles to lead the Bobcats to a win over the Cougars in Richmond.
Kara Briand and Jayden Brillant each added doubles for Richmond. Brillant, Breonna Dufresne and Lila Viselli each had two hits for the Bobcats, who scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh for the walk-off win.
Alexa Perreault had a triple as part of her two-hit effort for Dirigo, and Abby Stevens and Kallie Errington also each had a pair of hits.
BUCKFIELD 14, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 0, first game: Cara Merrill threw a five-inning shutout in the Bucks’ win over the Phoenix in the opening game of a doubleheader in Jay.
Merrill struck out five and allowed eight hits.
Kelsey Violette had a single and a double for Buckfield (4-2).
Abby Ortiz had a pair of hits for the Phoenix (3-3).
BUCKFIELD 7, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 1, second game: The Bucks scored all seven runs in the first two innings in the second game of their doubleheader sweep of the Phoenix in Jay.
Emma Stevens-Belanger picked up the win for Buckfield (5-2). Cassidy Lowell had a double and a single.
Hannah Turcotte took the loss for Spruce Mountain (2-5).
BASEBALL
MT. BLUE 9, MT. ABRAM 5: The Cougars took the lead in the top of the fifth in the win over the Roadrunners in Salem.
Brody Walsh had two hits and drove in three for Mt. Blue (2-3). Jack Kearing had a double and an RBI. Charlie Roberts pitched a complete game and struck out eight while allowing five hits.
Trevor Phelps had two hits and an RBI for Mt. Abram (7-3). Wyatt Sieminski drove in two in the loss.
LISBON 10, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0, 5 innings: The Greyhounds (5-2) scored seven times in the second inning in a five-inning game against the Patriots (2-7) at Lisbon.
Caleb Philips had two hits and Justin Le had a double and an RBI. Hunter Brissette scored three times for Lisbon. Nick Ferrence pitched four innings and struck out five. Neil Larochelle pitched a scoreless inning.
Mike Sweeney and Zack Winchester each had a hit for Gray-New Gloucester.
FRYEBURG 15, POLAND 6: The Raiders (4-3) scored seven runs in the second inning to beat the Knights (3-5) at Poland.
Ethan Lord led the Raiders with two hits and three RBIs. He also got the win on the mound.
For Poland, Dylan Sellinger had a two-run homer in the fourth. Hunter Gibson had three hits.
