100 Years Ago: 1921

The Latin play “Dido,” will be given tonight at eight o’clock in Assembly Hall by Miss Whittums senior and sophomore Latin classes at Jordan High. An exhibition of practical Latin will also be given in the Library.

50 Years Ago: 1971

Mr. and Mrs. Normand St. Hillaire are chairmen of the Spring dance being held to benefit the Committee for Action for Sacred Heart, an organization giving Financial support to Sacred Heart School. The dance will be held Friday. May 14 at Fairlawn Country Club with a well known local  combo supplying music. Mrs. William Fleming and Mrs. Leo Tardif are in charge of the advance ticket sales.

25 Years Ago: 1996

The Capt. Frank W. Hallett VFW Auxiliary Past Presidents met at the post home with President Ellen Broes president recently. Work was spent on a granny square afghan to be raffled at the fall fair, The quilt, made up of the 50 states, is completed and will also be raffled at the fair. The next meeting will be Wednesday at the home of Tina Dupont in Farmington. Members will meet at the Post home at 6:45 p.m. to carpool.
