POLAND — Poland rallied back from a 14-point second-half deficit and hung with Fryeburg through three overtimes until the Raiders pushed past the Knights for a 73-65 boys basketball victory Monday.

Poland senior Isaiah Hill made two free throws in the final 40 seconds to tie the game and force overtime. The Knights held a late lead in the first overtime, but a free throw by Fryeburg Academy’s Eli Mahan sent the game to a second overtime. In the third overtime, Will Hallam scored seven points and the Raiders outscored the Knights 16-8 to earn the victory.

Poland (5-5) junior Hunter Gibson led all scorers with 33 points. That included three 3-pointers. Sophomore Hayden Christner also drained three treys and finished with 15 points. Senior Joseph Ringuette finished with eight and Hill scored seven for the Knights.

Amel Maioji scored a team-high 15 points for Fryeburg (6-5), and Eloi Terricabras made four 3-pointers and tallied 14 points. Kyle Littlefield (12 points) and Hallam (11) also reached double figures for the Raiders. Mahan scored eight points.

Paige Gonya added eight points, Anna Beach contributed seven and Amara Denis had six for Oak Hill.

Emily Libby was Lisbon’s top scorer with five points, while Mercedes Blanchette scored four.
