REGION — Candidate nomination papers are now available for the MSAD 44 School Board, with eight members up for re-election this year.
One three-year term seat is open in Woodstock, two Bethel three-year term seats, two Greenwood three- and two-year term seats and three Newry three-, two- and one-year term seats.
Papers are available at the MSAD 44 Central Office (One Parkway, Suite 204, Bethel, 824-2185), Bethel Town Office (19 Main Street, 824-2669, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.), Greenwood Town Office (593 Gore Road, 875-2773, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., closed Thu.), Newry Town Office (422 Bear River Road, 824-3123, 7 a.m.- 5 p.m., closed Fri.) and Woodstock Town Office (26 Monk Ave, 665-2668, Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.).
Nomination papers for all candidates must be delivered to the Registrar of Voters in each of the MSAD 44 member municipalities by 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 18.
All certified nomination papers must be sent to the SAD 44 Central Office (One Parkway, Suite 204, Bethel, 04217) by Friday, March 26 at 4 p.m. Candidates are responsible for collecting certified nomination papers from the Registrar of Voters and delivering the to the MSAD 44 Central Office by the deadline.
Voters can vote in their town for candidates from all four municipalities. Election Day is Tuesday, June 8.
