Andy Rosen unveils his sculpture of a bear in Fountain Park in the Bates Mill Complex in Lewiston at a noontime ceremony Wednesday. The bear features colored strips of metal, representing various buildings and landmarks throughout the area, woven through the unpainted steel strips representing Lewiston/Auburn. The unpainted metals will gradually turn orange with rust, keeping the visual impact of the bear intact. “It will be here a lot longer than I will,” Rosen said. The piece is the first installment of a sculpture park in the courtyard. Andree Kehn/Sun Journal
