WATERVILLE — A Waterville man was arrested Tuesday after a three-vehicle accident sent a Jeep into an entrance to the Colby College residence hall on Main Street and injured another motorist.
Jose Paul Rodriquez, 44, has been charged with driving to endanger.
Sgt. Kyle McDonald of the Waterville Police Department said a 2000 BMW was being driven at a high speed through downtown when it hit a minivan and a 2005 Jeep Wrangler, according to information police collected from witnesses.
McDonald said the Jeep was being parked in front of the Bill and Joan Alfond Main Street Commons. The accident sent the vehicle onto the sidewalk and into the building’s entrance.
The female driver of the Jeep was taken by Delta Ambulance to the hospital. McDonald said he did not know details of her injuries.
McDonald also said he did know the extent of damage to the building, other than broken doors and windows.
Waterville police responded to the accident at 5:36 p.m. Part of Main Street was closed for about a half-hour.
