LEWISTON — In an unusual gathering, three pianists on the Bates faculty will share the stage at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 3, at the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall, 75 Russell St.
The three faculty pianists are James Parakilas, Bridget Convey and Chiharu Naruse.
Parakilas, a popular teacher and author, has performed solo and as part of Trio les Amis. Convey has performed across the country, notably with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Naruse, a prizewinner in Japan’s Hyogo Piano Competition, studied with Bates icon Frank Glazer and is well-known to Maine audiences.
