State Sen. Nate Libby, D-Lewiston, reads a proclamation from Gov. Janet Mills recognizing the Stanton Bird Club’s 100th anniversary. The proclamation noted the club’s importance in the community in providing nature education, stewardship for over 850 acres of land including Thorncrag Nature Sanctuary, and for its long history of working to focus public awareness on the importance of migratory bird conservation.
