Every month, the federal Bureau of Labor releases a report on jobs that have been created. I have three questions about those reports:

• In what sector are they created, i.e.,: service, manufacturing, agriculture, etc.?

• Do they pay a living wage in the areas where they are created?

• Are they permanent or temporary?

Without that information, those reports are basically useless in determining the overall effect on the economy of those areas.

The press, by just repeating those numbers without that information, is not doing its job of keeping the public informed of all the relevant facts.
