A panel of figure skating judges Wednesday pronounced Nancy Kerrigan physically and mentally fit for the Olympics. The judges, who watched Kerrigan Wednesday at a closed performance at Tory Kent Arena at Dennis, Mass., said they were impressed by her stamina after she skated her long program twice. “We have given the green light for her to go to the Olympics,” James Disbrow, chairman of the figure skating associations international committee, said from Minneapolis after speaking with the judges. Kerrigan performed her long program, her free skating program and her original program, executing jumps. footwork, spins and choreography to music. “She looks excellent, what we saw was not only good physical condition with a high level of stamina, but her mental condition was very good,” said Kathleen Kelly-Cutone, who was national collegiate champion in 1967.
