DEAR SUN SPOTS: I would be thankful if you could list businesses where I can drop off items to be consigned on eBay. I am having difficulty locating anyone who provides this service. I will travel to drop items off. Thank you.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: You are so helpful to so many people and I’m very thankful for that. I’m looking for eBay sellers. Any information you can provide will be much appreciated.

ANSWER: I wish I had a dollar for every time this question has been asked. Readers, I could use your help with this one so please respond if there is an eBay seller in the area where you have had a good experience.
I know it can seem daunting, but eBay does have a customer service center at eBay.com, where representatives will walk you through the process of selling your items yourself, cutting out the middle man. It really is quite uncomplicated. If you don’t feel comfortable doing it on your own, perhaps you have a neighbor, friend, or relative in your life who is willing to assist you.
Another idea that is a bit outside the box is to join one of the many online yard sale sites on Facebook. It’s free. You join the group then start simply upload your photos, price them and agree where to meet up. I’m the member of a group and have been wowed by the very positive, successful experience and the people I’ve met. Go to Facebook and type “Yard Sale Sites in Maine” in the search box. A robust listing will come up and you can see what group is nearest you.
If, like I, you’re into the process of ridding yourself of things and living a simple, more organized life, I highly recommend two inspirational books, “The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning: How to Free Yourself and Your Family from a Lifetime of Clutter,” by Margareta Magnusson and “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up,” by Marie Kondo. The latter book has also inspired a Netflix series and YouTube videos.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: As the activities director for Rumford Community Home, I would like to reach out to all the people who have made donations and contributions to our residents. It is because of all who have contributed that we were able to give our residents a wonderful holiday season. You are all our angels.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am writing in regard to an object we see in the sky in the east during the morning hours. It’s very visible and we’re wondering what it could be.
