LEWISTON — Nick Lynch had 22 points and 11 rebounds as the Bates College men’s basketball team defeated Tufts 76-65 on Saturday.

Tom Coyne added 18 points for the Bobcats (2-12, 2-3 NESCAC), while Jeff Spellman had 16.

Luke Rogers had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Jumbos (8-10, 2-3).

Tufts 72, Bates 51

MEDFORD, Mass. — Jac Knapp scored 15 points and the Jumbos (16-1, 4-1 NESCAC) beat the Bobcats (7-8, 1-4) on Saturday.

Erica DeCandino added 12 points and Cailin Harrington had 11 for Tufts.

Melanie Binkhorst had 13 points and Ariana Dalia 10 for Bates.

Maine 68, Stony Brook 54

STONY BROOK, N.Y. — Blanca Millan scored 20 points, while Fanny Wadling had 14 points and 15 rebounds and the University of Maine women’s basketball team beat Stony Brook 68-54 in an America East game Saturday.

For Saar added 15 points for the BlacK Bears, who improve to 12-7, 5-1 in the conference, bouncing back from their loss Wednesday to the University of Hartford, which snapped a four-game winning streak.

Oksana Gouchie-Provenchur scored 15 points, India Pagan had 14 and Shania Johnson had 10 for Stony Brook.
