GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER — Brianna Jordan had 12 points, five assists and four steals for Gray-New Gloucester, who used a 13-4 run in the third period to pull away and earn a 39-26 girls’ basketball victory over Yarmouth on Friday.
Jordan Grant chipped in 11 points for Gray-New Gloucester (6-0), which led 30-15 through three quarters.
Margaret McNeil (4-2) scored eight points for Yarmouth.
Scarborough 33, Edward Little 32
SCARBOROUGH — Bella Dickinson drove to the basket, drawing a foul with 3.3 seconds to play, and sank the first free throw to break a tie as the Red Storm (5-1) held off the Red Eddies (3-3) on Friday.
Dickinson finished with a team-leading 11 points. Kayla Conley added 10 and Julia Freeman tossed in eight for Scarborough.
Grace Fontaine scored a game-high 15 points for Edward Little.
St. Dominic 43, Waynflete 37
AUBURN — Mia Leslie drained a game-high 13 points as St. Dominic garnered a 43-37 victory over Waynflete in girls’ basketball action Friday evening.
Becca Zimmerman tossed in three field goals, including two from 3-point range, and a free throw to contribute nine points for the Saints (5-0).
Kilee Sherry scored a team-leading 10 points for the Flyers (1-4) in the losing effort.
Winthrop 51, Hall-Dale 34
AUGUSTA — Aaliyah WilsonFalcone scored 14 points to lead the Ramblers to the MVC girls’ basketball win Friday.
Jillian Schmelzer and Kate Perkins added nine points apiece for Winthrop (6-0).
Hall-Dale (3-3) was led by KK Wills with nine points and Iris Ireland with eight.
Boys’ basketball
Boothbay 93, Telstar 30
BETHEL — Hunter Crocker scored all of his 19 points in the first half as Boothbay defeated Telstar 93-30 in boys’ basketball action Friday.
Brett Hollowell added 14 points for the Seahawks (6-0), while Owen Barter and Rice Sullivan each had 10 points.
Davin Mason led the Rebels (0-6) with 12 points.
