RANGELEY — Junior guard Lauren Eastlack drained a game-high 18 points and made seven steals to lead Rangeley to a 70-29 victory over Vinalhaven in girls’ basketball action Friday evening.

The win is the 401st of Rangeley coach Heidi Deery’s career. Her 400th win came Tuesday against Temple.

The Lakers (5-1) produced 46 points in the second half. Senior guard Brooke Egan contributed 16 points and eight rebounds for Rangeley.

Guard Hope Cluff led the Vikings (1-5) with four field goals and five free throws for a team-leading 13 points in the losing effort.

Lewiston 44, Cheverus 38

PORTLAND — Emily Strachan scored 16 points and hit a 3-pointer in the fourth quarter to help her team stay in front as Lewiston defeated Cheverus 44-38 in Class AA girls’ basketball Friday.

Myah Nicolas added 13 points for the Blue Devils (1-4).

Laureen Jordan led the Stags (1-4) with 13 points. Emily Huntington and Margaret Kelly each had eight.

Oxford Hills 90, Fryeburg 28

PARIS — Julia Colby scored 20 points to lead Oxford Hills to an 90-28 victory over Fryeburg in girls’ basketball action Friday evening.

Cecelia Dieterich contributed 19 points on nine field goals, including one from 3-point range, for the Vikings (5-0). Jadah Adams pitched in with seven field goals for 14 points.

Kaylee Emery scored two field goals and sank five free throws for the Raiders (2-3) in the losing effort.

St. Dominic 42, Sacopee Valley 37

AUBURN — Becca Zimmerman tossed in five 3-pointers and five free throws to garner a game-high 20 points and lead St. Dom’s to a 42-37 girls’ basketball victory over Sacopee Valley on Friday evening.

The Saints (3-1) led 20-19 at the half. Hannah Kenney contributed 14 points for St. Dom’s.

Riley Vacchiaro scored nine points for the Hawks (1-4).

Winthrop 63, Telstar 38

BETHEL — Sophomore forward Madison Forgue drained 22 points to lead Winthrop to a 63-38 victory over Telstar in girls’ basketball action Friday evening.

The Ramblers (6-0) turned up the tempo with a 21-10 run in the third quarter. Junior guard Aaliyah WilsonFalcone contributed 17 points for Winthrop.

Junior center Luci Rothwell tallied a team-leading 10 points for the Rebels (0-6) in the losing effort.

Gray-New Gloucester 51, Poland 14

POLAND — Jordan Grant scored 14 of her 23 points during a 16-2 run in the first quarter for the Patriots (5-0) as they rolled past the Knights (1-4) on Friday.

Bri Jordan chipped in 13 points and eight rebounds.

Sophie Vallee scored eight points for Poland.

Mountain Valley 66, Hall-Dale 53

FARMINGDALE — Saydie Garbarini scored 22 points, leading the Falcons to an MVC girls’ basketball win Friday.

Kierstyn Lyons (four 3-pointers) and Rylee Sevigny added 16 points apiece for Mountain Valley (6-0).

Iris Ireland had 15 points and 15 rebounds for the Bulldogs (3-2), and KK Wills led the team with 16 points. Grace Begin added 11 points.

Cheverus 77, Lewiston 42

LEWISTON — Nick Galli had 18 points to lead Cheverus to a 77-42 victory over Lewiston in boys’ basketball Friday.

Nolan Sanborn and Dylan Morrison each scored 13 points for the Stags (4-2).

Hassan Hussein led the Blue Devils (1-5) with 17 points, while Hunter Dickinson chipped in nine.

Edward Little 50, Windham 28

AUBURN — Senior center Wol Maiwen-Diing netted a game-high 14 points as Edward Little defeated Windham 50-28 in boys’ basketball action Friday evening.

The Red Eddies’ (5-0) pressure made the difference, leading to several fast breaks for scoring opportunities. Junior guard Austin Brown scored two 2-point baskets, two 3s and two free throws for 12 points for Edward Little.

Junior guard Eric Wisser posted a team-leading eight points for the Eagles (1-4).

Gray-New Gloucester 61, Poland 29

GRAY — Ryan Lachance tossed in 14 points to lead Gray-New Gloucester to a 61-29 triumph over Poland in boys’ basketball action Friday evening.

The Patriots (3-2) built a 32-10 halftime lead. Zach Pomerleau and Hunter Colby contributed 10 points each for Gray-New Gloucester.

Gage Bachelder, Isaiah Hill and Evan Kelly each scored six points for the Knights (1-3).

Oxford Hills 49, Fryeburg 38

PARIS — Oxford Hills used a 12-point advantage in the third quarter to break open a close game on the way to a 49-38 victory in boys’ basketball action Friday.

Colton Carson led the Vikings (2-3) with 18 points, including eight free throws. Spencer Strong added 16 points.

Oskar Saunders paced the Raiders (3-2) with 13 points. Nathan Knapp added a pair of 3-pointers and finished with 10 points.

Sacopee Valley 74, St. Dominic 46

HIRAM — Teagan Meggison poured in 22 points and Michael Murphy added 15 as the Hawks (1-3) rolled past the Saints (1-4) on Friday.

Ethan Bosse scored 17 points for St. Dom’s. Robbie Dick contributed 11.
