The vehicle ran off the road near the truck fuel pump next to SignWorks in Farmington. The driver exited it and attempted to flee on foot. Morgan, Bean and Deputy Brad Scovil ran after him and took him into custody.
Goehringer was arrested on felony charges of eluding an officer and violating condition of release. He was also arrested on misdemeanor charges of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (believed to be psilocybin mushrooms), refusing to submit to arrest or detention, operating with a suspended license and criminal speed, 30-plus miles over posted speed limit.
There was also a Penobscot County warrant for his arrest for a charge of violation of bail, Nichols wrote.
Goehringer was being held without bail Monday at the Franklin County Detention Center until he goes before a judge later in the day.
A conviction on each of the felonies are punishable by a maximum five years in prison. Convictions on the misdemeanors carry up to six months to 364 days in jail.
